About Melanie

Hello. I am a certified consulting hypnotist with training in clinical hypnotherapy plus specialized training and certification in past life regression. I have been an active, certified member of both the National Guild of Hypnotists since 2016 and the International Association of Counselors & Therapists since 2023.

When I was hypnotized for the first time many years ago in 2005, it was then that I realized how much I loved hypnosis and how powerful it can be. I have continued to see hypnotherapists for my own personal growth throughout the years. Every time I come away feeling like I have gotten to know myself better on a deeper level. The self-empowerment and positive changes I have experienced in my life through hypnosis have only strengthened my passion for it.

Ever since that first session almost 20 years ago, I have dreamed about becoming a hypnotherapist. But it's taken a long time for me to arrive here. After high school I attended the University of Indianapolis, majored in Computer Information Systems and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree. I worked as a software developer in the insurance and healthcare industries for several decades. Even though I was, and still am, very passionate about computer programming, I left IT in order to pursue my dream to help people in a more direct way.

Still to this day, I can remember how nervous I was during my first hypnosis session so many years ago. I was very apprehensive and didn't know the first thing about hypnosis! Today, I believe that a big part of my job as a hypnotherapist is to educate others about what hypnosis is and what it isn't. As society continues to advance, I believe that hypnosis is becoming a more accepted way to heal, grow and make changes within ourselves.
